2008 Summer Reading Program

Bug Family

You are invited to Catch the Reading Bug @ the Waldport Public Library's 2008 Summer Reading Program. The Bug Safari will meet Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. beginning June 18th. Program calendars and registrations will be available beginning June 1. Tiffany Miner will continue Story Time activities for preschoolers through the summer on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

The library will host many special performers you will not want to miss:

June 18th: Charlie Brown will perform comedic juggling feats that will have you laughing throughout the library.

June 25th: Yeah! The string lady is back. Anne Glover returns with her enchanting stories and string games.

July 2nd: That "Crafty Claudia" Freeman will be our hostess. After buggy tales, she'll help you make a cool craft.

July 9th: Henrik Bothe will captivate you with his juggling, stick twirling, and physical comedy performances, a real crowd pleaser.

July 16th: Anne Louise- Sterry is another of our favorite performers. Her joy in the storytelling and singing is contagious.

July 23rd: Book Bingo is back! Everyone wins at this game.

July 30th: Curt Nelson of Slightly Illusional presents Go Wild! A program that includes magic, puppetry, and storytelling, that looks at the magic in our own backyard.

Aug 6th: Dragon Theater Puppets & Jason Ropp present “Little Bugs, Big World.” In this puppet play sneaky spider wants to catch the reading bug!
