What: Summer Camps at 21st Century Community Learning Centers
offer safe, fun and educational activities for youth.

No child will be turned away due to tuition costs.

The school year is coming to a close but the learning isn’t over, and at the 21st Century Summer Camps the lessons are never dull! Want to learn to surf? Cook? Dance? Paint? Launch a rocket? Sign up now for summer education — with an emphasis on fun.
A program of Lincoln County School District’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers, the Summer Camps feature an array of activities, including nature and science explorations, drama and dance lessons, art and craft projects, fitness and sports, and more. The Camps also offer out-of-town field trips to the zoo, aquatic center and skating rink.
Summer Camps take place at the 21st Century Community Learning Centers in Lincoln City, Newport, Toledo and Waldport. The four-week sessions are $100 and include lunch, snacks and transportation. Financial aid is available. No child will be turned away due to tuition costs. Pre-registration is required.

“Like the After-School Program, the Summer Camp is academic-based with fun activities,” notes Joel Riverman, coordinator for the 21st Century Community Learning Center at Taft 7-12 School. “This is a way to keep kids safe and busy and give them an academic boost, too.”
